Paradisiacal holiday islands relax corona measures - what applies now

More and more travel destinations are relaxing their corona measures.
Including a true holiday paradise.
After two years of the corona pandemic, many people are longing for a break from constantly changing rules and lockdowns.
Although the crisis situation is not over yet, in many places countries and regions are again relaxing their measures*.
The background is usually that the omicron variant is very contagious, but increasingly triggers milder Covid 19 courses - so the hospitals are no longer overburdened.
A popular island state in the Indian Ocean has now also eased its corona measures – namely the
Maldives
.
Maldives vacation: Corona loosening for vaccinated people
Since March 5th, vaccinated travelers
no longer have to present an additional PCR test when entering
the Maldives.

The following rules currently apply when entering the Maldives
:
All travelers arriving by air or sea (including children) must complete the Traveler Health Declaration form within 48 hours prior to entry.
Upon arrival, tourists need a booking confirmation in a resort for the entire duration of the stay.
There is no general obligation to vaccinate when entering the Maldives, but anyone planning a stay on the "inhabited islands" must have proof of vaccination.
Unvaccinated travelers need a negative PCR test, where the sample is no more than 96 hours old before departure.
Children under the age of one are exempt.
In general, German nationals need a visa to enter Germany.
The Federal Foreign Office recommends supplementary insurance in the event of a Covid-19 illness.

These Corona rules apply in the Maldives
A
public health
emergency remains in force in the Maldives .
Therefore, the stay of travelers is generally limited to the booked resort.
However, a so-called "split stay" can be applied for at the Maldivian Ministry of Tourism if a stay in several resorts is planned.
In addition, masks are compulsory in public and closed rooms.
