Parents filed a complaint against an assistant suspected of using physical and verbal violence against their children • The employee was removed from kindergarten until the end of the investigation

Another case of suspicion of abuse of nursery school children: This time it is a private nursery school in Or Akiva, where 30 toddlers from the age of 3 months to 3 years study.

A number of parents of toddlers in kindergarten have filed complaints with Hadera police alleging that violence has been used against their children.

Following this, a kindergarten assistant was questioned with a warning on suspicion of physical and verbal violence against the children.

The assistant was released on restrictive conditions and was removed from the nursery until the end of the investigation.

Police investigators collected testimonies from the nursery school director and other assistants.

The court has for the time being banned from publishing the name of the nursery.

One of the mothers who filed a complaint with the police said: "My son is two years old. My mother picked him up from the nursery and he said to her: 'Grandma the kindergarten teacher beat her'. He said the name of the assistant and said she beat him. After a few days he said the name of the assistant "She was in pain. He picked up his pants and showed a blow he received. He said she helped him beat him."

Another mother said: "The children in the kindergarten suffer from swearing, screaming and also physical violence. Some parents have lodged a complaint with the police and we are waiting for the police to take it seriously."

The police said: "Following complaints from several parents, an investigation was opened on suspicion of abusing the helpless. The assistant was questioned with a warning and removed from the nursery. The investigation continues."

Last week, a serious indictment was filed in the Lod District Court against Orly Davidovich and her daughter Daniel Leibowitz from the "Orly Lolly" kindergarten in Petah Tikva for a series of abuses of their kindergarten children.

The prosecution even filed a motion to detain them until the end of the legal proceedings against them.
