The Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party and the Cuban Communist Party stressed the importance of strengthening relations of cooperation and consultation between them under the current circumstances.

During a virtual session of talks chaired by Dr. Mahdi Dakhlallah, member of the central leadership of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, and Jorhe Luis Procci Lorenzo, member of the General Secretariat of the Cuban Communist Party, member of the Central Committee, head of the Education and Sports Bureau, the two sides reiterated the need and increased coordination and consultation between the leaderships of the two parties to face common challenges. facing the two brotherly countries.

Lorenzo noted the strength and solidity of the relations between Syria and Cuba, expressing his great gratitude for the solidarity and support of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party and youth organizations in Syria for Cuba's struggle against the criminal American blockade imposed on it, explaining that the two countries are subjected to continuous attacks by global imperialism, but they will not give up their rights, sovereignty and independence.

For his part, Dr. Dakhlallah indicated that the Baath Party attaches great importance to strengthening cooperation with friendly parties in the world, pointing out that relations with the Cuban Communist Party have never been cut off.

Dakhlallah expressed the party leadership's gratitude for Cuba's supportive stances for Syria in international forums and for its support in its war against terrorism, once again Syria's condemnation of the unjust US blockade imposed on Cuba for six decades.

The session was attended by Dr. Idris Maya, the Syrian ambassador to Cuba, and Miguel Porto Barga, the Cuban ambassador to Damascus.
