A tornado watch is in effect for northwestern Florida and central and southern Georgia through 1 pm ET on Wednesday, according to the Storm Prediction Center.
A couple of tornadoes, along with damaging scattered wind gusts up to 112 km/h and isolated large hail, are possible in the watch area.

Cities under surveillance include Tallahassee and Albany, Georgia.
Multiple tornado warnings were also issued in southern Alabama and northwest Florida this morning.
More than 10 million people from northwest Florida to coastal South Carolina are under the threat of severe storms through Wednesday as the current line of storms continues east through the day.
