The "

collective Palestine will win

" and the "

Palestine Action Committee

", which the Minister of the Interior accuses of calling "

Gérald Darmanin announced on February 24 the launch of the dissolution procedure against these two pro-Palestinian associations.

The Ministry of the Interior then explained that this group "

under the guise of defending the Palestinian cause

", "

cultivates the feeling of oppression of ''Muslim peoples'' (...) with the aim of spreading the idea of Islamophobia on an international scale

".

He also accuses him of calling for "

discrimination and hatred towards Israel and the Israelis

", in particular through boycott campaigns.

Incitement to hatred and discrimination

The Collective, which defines itself as "

anti-racist and anti-colonialist

", had denounced "

an attack

", according to him "

against the movement of solidarity with Palestine

".

Among the latest actions of the collective, based in Toulouse, a "

#Palestine2022

" campaign aimed at "

denouncing the collaboration of French governments with Israeli apartheid

" and "

inviting the subject of the Palestinian cause into the debates of the presidential election

“, can we read on its website.

The decree presented to the Council of Ministers argues that "

under the guise of defending the cause of the people of the Palestinian territories, this group claims and incites through its slogans, its publications and its actions, hatred, discrimination and violence against people because of their origin, supports organizations considered to be terrorists or individuals involved in acts related to terrorism and thus legitimizes the use of violent actions

”.

Gérald Darmanin also announced in February the launch of the procedure for dissolving another association, “

the Action Palestine committee

”, based in Bordeaux.

This group presents itself, according to its site, as an association working "

for the realization of the national rights of the Palestinian people

", in particular "

the right of return of refugees, that is to say the liberation of the Arab land of Palestine

" .

.

The association also says it denounces “

Zionism as a colonialist and racist movement

”.

The decree of dissolution concerning him mentions his "

support for various terrorist organizations

" which "

goes hand in hand with a legitimization of terrorist methods, since their authors claim to be in the interests of the Palestinian people or target the interests of Israel

”.

The association's lawyers, Me William Bourdon and Vincent Brengarth, announced their intention to contest this decision before the Council of State, and expressed, in a press release, "

their deepest concerns in the face of this new offensive directed against the actors associations defending the Muslim community, in the context of the separatism law

” adding “

to worry about a dissolution which aims to stifle any criticism, admittedly harsh, of Israeli policy.
