Valley – After the Valley Housing Survey was conducted, the results have now been announced to the borough council.
The community of Valley conducted a housing survey to determine the needs of its citizens.
Although only 6 percent of households took part, the findings are still valuable for future decisions in the municipal council.
At its most recent meeting, the panel members Johannes Schneider (SPD) and Markus Nöscher (CSU) presented the results of the survey.
Schneider initiated this together with his parliamentary colleague Angela Falkenhahn and carried it out together with Nöscher and Nicole Weinfurtner (Greens).
Only 87 people took part in the survey, which is why the evaluation is not representative, explained Schneider.
But the insights gained are still interesting:
According to this, around 73 percent of those surveyed are looking for a property.
The interest is less on houses, but primarily on apartments.
About 60 percent would buy them, 25 percent would rent them.
It was also surprising to find out that around 60 percent of the citizens surveyed could even imagine multi-generational housing in which they also live.
The desire for more affordable living space, for example in connection with the locals model, also became clear again in the survey.
Schneider and Nöscher emphasized that more apartments should be offered as part of this in the future.
Barbara Walter (CSU) wished that the knowledge gained would not be forgotten, but included in future decisions in the municipal council.
