The activities of Souk Al-Aila started this evening within the monthly shopping festival “Made in Syria” in its 133rd session, organized by the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside in cooperation with the Damascus Countryside Chamber of Commerce and the Al-Wafa Development Association, in the city of Duma in Damascus countryside.

Damascus Countryside Governor Moataz Abu Al-Nasr Jamran pointed out, in a statement to reporters, the importance of this event with the approach of the blessed month of Ramadan, with the aim of relieving the burdens on citizens, pointing out that many festivals will be launched in some cities of Damascus countryside, such as Al-Nabek and Daraya.

In turn, the head of the Damascus Countryside Chamber of Commerce Osama Mustafa indicated that cooperation with the Damascus Chamber of Industry and the Rural Chamber of Commerce aims to deliver various commodities to citizens at reasonable prices.

Member of the Board of Directors of the Damascus and Rural Chamber of Industry and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Made in Syria Festival Talal Qala Ji stressed the importance of launching the festival in the city of Douma, as it is one of the most important cities in the countryside, through which the Chamber seeks to support the people.

Kenana Muhammad, the promotion supervisor in a food company, indicated that this is the first time that her company has participated in the festival within the city of Douma, noting that they offer discounts of up to 25% with good movement.

Waseem Arab from one of the participating coffee companies explained that they offer discounts of up to 30 percent, while the director of a clothing company indicated that they have been participating in the festival for ten years and offer discounts of 50 percent on their products at the end of the season.

The festival included a section for small business owners, where the mother of playgrounds, an accessories designer, indicated that she started her project in her home and has been participating for years in this festival to market her products in addition to marketing via the Internet, while Norma Al-Saleh indicated that she participates with handmade products of her production ten years ago, as her products were popular with people.
