The President of Ukraine addressed the Holocaust Remembrance Center and asked to speak to representatives of the place and the people of Israel • The organization said that the request would be considered and coordinated with the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel

Knesset Speaker MK Miki Levy spoke today (Thursday) with Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Ivgan Kronichuk at the ambassador's request, announcing that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zalansky will be able to address the Knesset plenum.

During their conversation, Knesset Speaker Levy reiterated his invitation to Ukrainian President Zalansky to address Knesset members through a remote video call as he requested.

The Speaker of the Knesset reiterated that it would be to the honor of the Knesset to host President Zlansky to address all members of the Knesset.

The Ukrainian ambassador promised to forward the Knesset Speaker's positive response to President Zalanski's request and it was agreed that a date would be set for an official remote video speech to all Knesset members via zoom in the coming days.

In addition, Zalansky announced today that he had asked the Yad Vashem Holocaust Remembrance Center to address the museum's representatives and the people of Israel in a special way, due to the Russian invasion of his country and Russia's use of Holocaust remembrance to justify the attack.

A short response letter published by Yad Vashem states that the request will be considered and that a decision will be made by Sunday, in coordination and consultation with the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel.

The Reuters news agency contacted the embassy for a response but this was not provided.

Yad Vashem announced today that it will end its cooperation with Roman Abramovich, who is close to Russian President Vladimir Putin, after the British authorities decided today to freeze his assets due to his ties with the Russian regime.

Zlansky addressed the US Congress, the British Parliament and the European Parliament and received a wave of applause for his courageous stand against the Russian invasion.

Zalanski's attempt to mobilize support for his country comes after two million Ukrainian citizens fled the country due to the fighting and the death toll in the fighting was in the thousands.
