Fewer right-wing crimes in the Southwest

The number of right-wing crimes in Baden-Württemberg has recently decreased.
The Ministry of the Interior recorded a decrease of 5.5 percent to 1524 cases last year, as the German Press Agency learned.
In 2020 there were 1613 cases.
According to the ministry, it was mainly so-called propaganda crimes, such as spraying swastikas on walls, incitement to hatred and insults.
Stuttgart – Right-wing violent crimes also fell from 40 to 30 in 2021.
The election campaign in 2021 only had a slight impact on this area of the phenomenon, it said.

"We're working hard in the fight against right-wing extremist violence, we're on the right track here, but we're still a long way from reaching our goal," Interior Minister Thomas Strobl (CDU) told dpa.
"Last but not least, the danger of right-wing extremist violence or even attacks is also increased because the right-wing extremist spectrum has a particularly high affinity for weapons." That's why the scene is particularly important - self-radicalized individual perpetrators as well as possible networks.
