Donations in kind for the Ukraine and refugees are still being collected in Poing.
The community is also planning a "Ukraine Helpers' Group" and has set up a hotline.
Poing – The Poinger association OstEuropaHilfe continues to collect donations in kind for the Ukraine and for refugees.
The place of delivery is no longer the Lanzl-Hof, but the premises at Gruber Straße 46c (next to the Greek restaurant Afrodite. Open for acceptance is Friday from 12 noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. According to the association and municipality of Poing, current the following donations are required:
• Camping mats, small folding mattresses, sleeping bags, bed linen, warm blankets, towels.
• Hygiene items: toothbrush, toothpaste, baby diapers, feminine hygiene, soap, shampoo.
• Long-life foods: muesli and fruit bars, chocolate, drinks, preserves, pasta, etc.
• Baby food: milk powder, bottles and teats, pacifiers.
• Warm children's clothing, please in sealed bags/sacks, stating the size and contents.
• All kinds of medical bandages, non-prescription painkillers and the like.
• Children's and adult shoes tied together in pairs.
• Illuminants such as flashlights with two sets of batteries, candles, lighters.
Prams, cots, etc. are gladly accepted for arrivals in Poing - please report them by e-mail and do not hand them in on Gruber Straße, the association informs.

OstEuropaHilfe recently rescued nuns and girls from the war zone.
The municipality of Poing is currently in the process of forming a "Help Group Ukraine".

This also applies to Ukrainian nationals who can interpret.
