Shock in the air: pilot has to make an emergency landing near A3

Shock with a small propeller plane: On the way to Frankfurt there are suddenly engine problems.
The pilot has to make an emergency landing in a meadow.
Weibersbrunn – Emergency landing of a small plane in a meadow: On Wednesday (03/09/2022) a 30-year-old pilot had to bring his plane to the ground near a motorway.
The propeller plane had an engine problem mid-flight, police report.
The man was on his way to Frankfurt* with his small plane.
He landed the machine near the A3 near Weibersbrunn (Aschaffenburg district).
In doing so, he suffered a shock.
A rescue helicopter took him to a hospital as a precaution, police said.
It is not known whether he was injured during the emergency landing.

At least the nose wheel of the aircraft was severely damaged.
The police were initially unable to name the extent of the damage.
The exact cause of the engine problem is not yet known, the police are investigating.
On another flight, many more people were in danger: the pilot of an EasyJet machine reported smoke in the cockpit during the flight over Germany in January.
The fully occupied A320 had to make an unscheduled landing.
