The Pliening youth room is open every Friday, and has been again for five months.
The response from young people is good.
The room can now also be rented privately.
Pliening – The youth room in the basement of the Pliening community center, which reopened five months ago, has been well received.
As René Buchmann reports, up to 20 young people meet there every Friday.
It is open on Fridays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and is open to young people aged 12 and over.
"The younger ones are usually there at the beginning, the older ones come later," reports Buchmann.
Pliening: More supervisors wanted
He is the 2nd chairman of the Pliening youth association and has been acting head of it since the 1st chairman, Tina Lucka, moved away from Pliening.
In addition to treasurer Brigitte Freund, Mandy Rüger has now moved up to the board.
Buchmann announces that a new chairman will be elected at the general meeting in the summer.

When it is open on Fridays, the youth room is run by volunteers who are at least 18 years old and take over the supervision.
Here the association is looking for further reinforcements. Interested parties can contact René Buchmann on telephone (0176) 32223231. There is an expense allowance for the assignment.
Youth room Pliening: Rent is 50 euros
After the reopening, the room itself is well equipped with a kitchen, music system, seating area, table football, table tennis, dartboard and more.
Young people recently repainted the counter, reports the deputy chairman.
The offers in the youth room are to be expanded bit by bit.

There is already a new offer: the youth room can be rented for private birthday parties.
The cost is 50 euros per day, plus deposit.
"The income goes to the support association, which can use it to make further purchases for the young people," says René Buchmann.
Because parents kept asking if the room could be rented, the association decided to offer this option.
Interested parties can also contact the second chairman for this.
