This drop in prices is explained by the decline in crude oil prices.
The barrel of Brent from the North Sea, for delivery in May, rose from 129 dollars on Tuesday to 110 dollars on Friday.
This is the benchmark for black gold in Europe.
A barrel of Wast Texas Intermediate for April delivery also fell 2.46% to $106.02.
There is also an increase in the value of the euro, to 1.0995 dollars this morning, against 1.0986 dollars on Thursday.
This increase thus makes it possible to reduce the exchange rate when buying barrels of crude oil.

However, the disparities between the French regions are still relevant, since the liter of diesel is displayed at 2.11 euros in Lille, while it is at 2.49 euros in Paris.
To explain these differences, Michel-Édouard Leclerc specifies “
that the stations update the prices when they fill their stock
”.

The Casino brand goes even further since it offers a liter of fuel at one euro on March 11 and 12.
