The Hong Kong government announced this afternoon (12th) that multiple areas in Kwun Tong District, Tsuen Wan District, Yuen Long District, Tai Po District, North District and Yau Tsim Mong District were tested positive for sewage, and the amount of virus was relatively high. The areas involved include 13 housing estates or estates including Yau Tong Village and Yau Lai Village in Kwun Tong, Park Island in Ma Wan, Tin Shui Village in Tin Shui Wai and Chung Nga Court in Tai Po.

The District Office of the District will distribute rapid test kits to about 110,000 residents, cleaning staff and property management staff for self-testing starting tomorrow (12th).

List of districts and housing estates that need to be self-tested for positive sewage:

Kwun Tong District - Yau Tong Village and Yau Lai Village

Tsuen Wan District - Park Island

Yuen Long District - Tin Shui (1) Village, Tin Shui (2) Village and Tin Oi Court

Tai Po District - Chung Nga Court

North District - Huadu Plaza, King Shing Court and Yan Shing Court

Yau Tsim Mong District - Liang Yin Court, Fu On Building and Boundary Building

A government spokesman reminded the public that when using the rapid test kits, they should pay attention to and follow the manufacturer's instructions, and it is advisable to take pictures for records immediately after reading the results.

Hands should be clean before and after the test, and the quick test kit should be disposed of properly after the test.

If the household environment is contaminated during sample collection, it should be disinfected with 1:49 diluted household bleach or 70% alcohol.

Rapid test positive people can declare through the online platform

Those who are positive for the first time in the rapid test can declare through the authorities' "2019 Coronavirus Rapid Antigen Test Positive Results Person Declaration System" online platform.

If members of the public have difficulty using the online platform, they can call 1836119 to register with the automatic system. The CHP will contact the person concerned to complete the declaration process later.

People living or working in the above-mentioned areas who have tested positive for the rapid test can also call the 24-hour hotline set up by the government at 22804772 to arrange for a special person to deliver the rapid antigen test kits and nasal swab sample collection kits, free of charge.
