120 graduates of vocational training courses in Aleppo

With the participation of 120 male and female trainees, the Armenian Protestant community, in cooperation with the Middle East Council of Churches, held a ceremony for graduates of the vocational training courses in its third edition at the Kevork Yesayan Theater in Aleppo.

In a statement to reporters, Eng. Rami Martini, Minister of Tourism, pointed out the importance of empowering the skills of the young generation and enhancing its capabilities to participate in building society and transforming their dreams into small and development projects that contribute to the reconstruction of the country, as it constitutes the main pillar, pointing to the importance of partnership with the local community with its various components and sects in providing support and services in a way that contributes to building a better tomorrow for the people of Syria.

Rev. Harutyun Soleimian, head of the Armenian Protestant sect, said that the project aims to provide practical and theoretical training for young men and women and enable them to engage in the labor market and work life and participate in supporting the national economy and provide all the practical requirements and equipment necessary to launch their small projects that contribute to enhancing their confidence in themselves and form a window for openness to Society.

Maria Bochkeznian, coordinator of the Vocational Training Program, pointed out the importance of qualifying young cadres and providing them with skills that contribute to mastering work under the supervision of specialized cadres that provide important information that enables them to be professionals, explaining that a number of outstanding trainees have followed the entrepreneurship course.

The trainer, Yola Ghandour, a beautician, said that the number of training hours amounted to 48 hours, distributed over 24 sessions, according to a well-studied program, where the trainees were introduced to the skills and practical experience that help them open their own projects.

The trainee, Laurie Aslanian, from the confectionery industry, pointed out that the course contributed to enhancing her capabilities, practical skills, teamwork and self-reliance, while Micheline Dosha, from the makeup profession, indicated that the course introduced her to the basics of makeup, color coordination, and how to market and expand business, while the trainee, Muhammad Mofeed Mahrousa, indicated from the maintenance profession. The cellular devices indicated that he gained professional experience and linked theoretical information with practical reality and how to establish small projects and transform talent into professionalism.

The ceremony was attended by the Governor of Aleppo Hussein Diab, the Secretary of the Aleppo branch of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, Ahmed Mansour, the President of Aleppo City Council, Dr. Maad Medlaji, a number of managers and a crowd of stakeholders.
