Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel in a speech (Edited by Aviad Ballali)
Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevgeny Kornichuk said today (Friday) at a press conference that he believes that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zalansky's speech to the Knesset should not be a problem.
According to him, "the vacation that the Knesset members are on is neither an excuse nor the renovations."
The ambassador said that a meeting would be held next week to advance the matter.
"There are several options for doing this. I do not think it is appropriate to make the speech zoom, which can only be attended by ten MKs," he explained.
The ambassador also referred in his remarks to the speeches given by the President of Ukraine to the British Parliament and the US Congress.
"The president is becoming popular across Europe. Everyone is waiting for his speeches and hearing what he has to say," he said.
He also requested additional humanitarian aid from Israel.
Kornichuk clarified that more drugs and equipment are needed and that senior Israeli officials know what the Ukrainians need.
"I have heard that there is a funding problem that I hope will be resolved.

"The situation of the Ukrainians is critical now. I do not know what you are afraid of and what you are afraid of - it is yours. But we need further immediate help," he said.
The Ambassador expressed his desire to maintain the best possible relations between Ukraine and Israel and therefore does his diplomatic role and presents all angles.
"The demands for assistance were presented to the Israeli government, we asked many times and were not answered in the affirmative," he noted.
He said he thinks Russia does not see Ukraine as a partner in the context of the negotiations.
"I think in their head they think they are fighting the Americans and not the Ukrainians," he noted at the press conference.
