US President Joe Biden escalated his actions against Russia, declaring today the suspension of trade relations with it under the pretext of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine.
Reuters reported that the decision includes a ban on the import of Russian drinks, precious stones and marine products, adding that the United States and its allies "will exclude Russia from the reciprocal trading system."
The US president threatened to deprive Russia of the ability to borrow from international institutions such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
Biden reiterated that Washington "will not fight in Ukraine against Russia" because that would lead to a "global war."
Last Tuesday, Biden announced a ban on his country's imports of Russian oil and gas.
