The children and youth development association is starting an exciting campaign with TSV Wolfratshausen: children and young people from eight to 16 are learning circus skills.

Wolfratshausen – Juggling balls, moving artistically or playing diabolo – children and young people aged 8 to 16 can do all this and much more from March 16 every Wednesday between 4:15 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. in a practice room at the HEP school on the Bahnhofstrasse 14. “Apart from being a member of TSV Wolfratshausen, there are no special requirements that children have to meet,” explains Walter Halamek.

In a press conference at the La Vida youth center, the head of the gymnastics department recalled that the sports club had to dissolve its group of artists a few years ago due to a lack of trainers.

Now the Ethiopian Solomon Solgit and two helpers from the children and youth development association (KJFV) have agreed to take on this task once a week.

"We think that children need this offer," said KJFV Managing Director Fritz Meixner.

So far, the association has only cooperated with the circus school Windspiel during the holidays.

The demand was so great that an alternative was found with the “Zirkuswelt” even during school days.

"I have already passed on my skills to over 2,500 children: projects like this are very important," reported Solgit.

The artist, who lives in Bad Tölz, used to work with the youth and social work association (TVJA) in Geretsried and has already performed for the world-famous “Cirque du Soleil”.

Meixner and Halamek see the new offer as an enrichment of the leisure offer.

"After more than two years of Corona, the children need something to get out," says Halamek.

Solomon Solgit has already packed a big circus box.

"Participants can try everything, there is no pressure to perform." In order to publicize the offer, youth center manager Max Aichbichler has already been busy advertising on social networks.

He accepts registrations at the e-mail address jugendhaus@jugend-wolfratshausen.de.
