So far, around 150 people from Ukraine have fled to Regensburg since the beginning of the war.

How can the people of Regensburg help?

The district provides answers.

Regensburg – Since the beginning of the war, more and more people from the Ukraine have been coming to Regensburg.

Many citizens therefore have questions that the district tries to answer in a press release.

Accordingly, the district office estimated on Wednesday (March 9) that around 100 people found shelter with their relatives and acquaintances.

A total of around 50 refugees came via the official ANKER distribution channel.

They are currently in a hotel in Zeitlarn and are to be distributed from there to private accommodation.

Regensburg: More than 500 private beds have already been offered

This is possible because over 500 private beds have already been made available.

The district office also accepts private housing offers by email at anmietung@landratsamt-regensburg.de.

The message should include who owns the apartment or house and their contact details.

The address and equipment of the accommodation must also be given and from when it will be available for how long.

In addition, it should be specified how the connection to public transport and shopping facilities that are nearby is.

Those who would like to help with monetary or material donations can contact the district office by e-mail with questions about the refugees from Ukraine or offers of help: ukraine@landratsamt-regensburg.de.

Otherwise, there are numerous actions in the individual communities in the district of Regensburg, which the district office refers to.

Regensburg: Refugees from the Ukraine have to take this into account

Refugees who have already found private accommodation should pre-register by sending an email to registrierung@reg-opf.bayern.de.

To do this, you must provide personal data such as surname, first name, date of birth, place of birth, gender, nationality, current address and telephone number of a German-speaking contact person.

Since the ANKER Oberpfalz is currently overloaded, it will report when new capacities are free again.

Only then can the refugees finally register.

They are also asked to "register with the new residential address at the responsible residents' registration office of the district municipality and to ensure that they can be reached by post by labeling the mailbox."
