The Russian Defense Ministry announced the destruction of 3,346 military sites in Ukraine since the beginning of the military operation to protect Donbass.
"The Russian aviation and air defense forces downed three drones, including two Bayraktar, and destroyed four command centers, three air defense systems, three ammunition depots, in addition to 63 weapons depots" during today's operations, RIA Novosti news agency quoted the ministry's spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, as telling reporters.
Konashenkov added that "the Russian armed forces continued their offensive on a wide front and reached the Novo-Donetskoye, Novo-Mayorskoye and Egorovka lines at a depth of 11 kilometers."
He continued, "Since the beginning of the operation, we have destroyed 3,346 military sites in Ukraine, 121 drones, 1,067 tanks and armored vehicles, 114 rocket launchers, 412 field guns, and 862 pieces of military vehicles."
Konashenkov warned that the MANPADS distributed in Kyiv and sent from the West pose a threat of terrorist attacks on civilian aircraft, stressing that the Russian army will continue to search for MANPADS abandoned by extremist nationalists and will be confiscated to prevent these weapons from falling into the hands of terrorists and exporting them abroad. Ukraine.
The ministry indicated that Ukrainian gunmen blew up the building of the Institute of Physics and Technology in Kharkov, noting that there are about 50 employees of the institute under the rubble of the building.
The ministry also confirmed that the city of Mariupol is surrounded and the roads are mined by Ukrainian extremist nationalists, noting that the militants are shooting indiscriminately while the Ukrainian forces are taking advantage of the "period of silence" to regroup and move to more advantageous positions.
