The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Amr Salem, confirmed that the sale of bread continues by the same mechanism until the completion of linking the electronic card holders with an authorized agent near their place of residence.
Minister Salem explained in a statement published on his Facebook page that the choice of card holders for currently accredited enables the ministry to know the areas that need an increase in the number of accredited to reach the goal that no citizen has to go to an area far from his home or work.
The minister said: “The spatial link will only be applied when the card holders have finished specifying their desires. The aim of the link is to reduce unacceptable crowding and deliver good quality bread.”
Currently, the Ministry of Internal Trade allows electronic card holders in the governorates of Damascus, Quneitra, Hama, Lattakia, Tartous and Aleppo, to choose accredited according to their areas of residence.
