To uprooted families, to children whose carelessness is forever bruised, to those who, in a few hours, have lost everything and now have only the poor memory of their roofs, to these people thrown on the roads to escape to the bombs, it is necessary to offer comfort, shelter and food, while waiting for the hoped-for return to the country.

The reception of Ukrainian refugees is, moreover, according to polls, almost unanimous in Europe.

If the hospitality due to these Europeans whose lives are in danger is somewhere inscribed in the flesh of our nations, it is also clearly defined in the texts, with the right of asylum.

Make no mistake about it: it is on respect for these texts, that is to say the specificity of asylum, that the duration and strength of the consensus will depend.
