The discussions of representatives of NGOs in Aleppo governorate focused on the need for equal opportunities by contracting projects with international organizations, activating the labor law for people with disabilities, and the possibility of issuing a financial stamp for people with disabilities to secure financial resources that contribute to addressing some of the difficulties they face.
During the meeting, which was held today in the presence of the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Muhammad Seif El-Din, he called for the support of cultural associations, the restoration of the House of Happiness for the elderly, the possibility of exempting orphaned girls from school fees, allocating seats for them in Syrian universities, and expanding the creation of care homes to accommodate beggars and homeless children.
Commenting on the interventions, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor affirmed that the ministry is working to secure special clinics for the disabled in coordination with the relevant ministries, adding that there are many aspects being studied to improve the reality of the work of charitable and development societies and to secure work requirements in order to contribute to creating job opportunities and livelihoods.
The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor visited a number of charitable centers, associations and projects in the city of Aleppo, including St. Mansour's Home for the Elderly, the Orphan Girl's Home, and the Vocational Rehabilitation Center in Masaken Hanano.
Hussain Diab, Governor of Aleppo, and Ahmed Mansour, Secretary of the Aleppo Branch of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, participated in the tour.
