Hundreds of protesters in Tel Aviv against Interior Ministry policy: "Jews do not deport refugees" Israel today

Hundreds of protesters gathered tonight (Saturday) outside the government compound in Tel Aviv to protest against government policies and everything related to the entry quotas from Ukraine to Israel. The protesters also called for a halt to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. - welcome refugees.

In light of the refugee absorption policy, the protesters chanted: "Ayelet Shaked Home," and "Bennett and Lieberman-Shame."

Alex Yochin told "Israel Today": "My uncle lives in Kherson. I have no idea what his condition is. Some of my associates have started a journey to their freedom. If any of them come to Israel - how will I explain to them the problematic attitude of Israel? Earlier, dozens of people demonstrated in a protest vigil in front of the home of Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked.

Representatives of the Forum for the Absorption of Ukrainian Refugees held signs that read "Refugee not checked with a tassel" and "Jew does not deport a refugee."

In a call to Shaked, they said: "A Jewish state does not abandon refugees. The promiscuous policy of the Israeli government shames it. Look them in the eye."
