The Palestinian presidency affirmed that the occupied city of Jerusalem, with its sanctities and neighborhoods, is a red line that cannot be tolerated at all.
In a statement today reported by the Palestinian Wafa Agency, the presidency condemned the Israeli occupation authorities' announcement last week of new plans to establish thousands of settlement units in a number of neighborhoods of the Holy City, amid flagrant disregard for the relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
The presidency stressed that the fate of settlements is to come to an end, and that ending the occupation is the only way to settle the just Palestinian cause and establish an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
