The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air force today shot down a Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopter and three marches, including one Bayraktar TB2 as part of a special operation to protect the residents of Donbass.
"The Russian Air Force and UAVs struck 79 facilities of the military infrastructure in Ukraine, including four command and control centers, communication centers, two anti-aircraft missile systems, three radar facilities, one electronic command station and six depots of ammunition and fuel," the ministry's spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov said in a statement today. and 54 storage areas for military equipment.
The spokesman explained that the outcome of the operations since the launch of the special operation is the destruction of 61 helicopters, 126 drones, 1,159 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 118 multiple rocket launchers, 436 pieces of field artillery and mortars, and 973 units of special military vehicles.
Konashenkov pointed out that the Russian armed forces continued their offensive on a wide front and imposed their control over the towns of Novoandrivaca and Kirillovka, and also reached the Novomayorsko-Pavlovka-Nikolsko-Vladimirova-Plagodet line, where it advanced today for a distance of 12 kilometers.
Konashenkov said that the Lugansk People's Forces took control of the towns of Vogoryia and Yuth and the south and center of the town of Popasnaya, while other units continued to advance towards the outskirts of the city of Severodonetsk.
The Russian Defense Ministry had announced earlier today that Russian forces had disabled 3,491 facilities of the Ukrainian military infrastructure since the beginning of the special operation to protect Donbass.
