The Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior announced that a number of roads in the governorates of Lattakia, Tartous, Hama, Quneitra and Sweida are impassable or impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
The Traffic Department indicated in its bulletin this morning that all roads in Lattakia Governorate are passable, except for the roads leading to Slanfeh district, the Slanfeh Road to the Broadcasting Station-Al-Ghab, the Markitah-Qardaha road, the Vehicle-Maqamat Bani Hashem road, the Jubat Barghal-Al-Ghab road, and the Astamna-Qardaha road are impassable due to the accumulation of snow And the road of Beit Yashout-Al-Manizla, Beit Yashout-Bismalakh, Beit Yashout-Al-Ghab, and the Dalia-Wadi Al-Qala road is impassable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow.
In Tartous governorate, all roads are passable except for the Baniyas area. The Anazah-Beit Jash-Farroukha-Al-Jadida-Khirbet Al-Sindiya road is impassable due to the accumulation of snow. In the Qadmous area, the Qadmous-Ain Qadib-Massaf public road and the Qadmous Mill road and all roads leading to the Mills district are impassable. due to snow accumulation.
In Hama, all roads are passable except for the Shatah-Jobat Bargal road and the Ain al-Krum-Qaranda road with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow.
In Quneitra, all roads are passable, except for the Khan Arnaba-Hadhar road, which is impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
In As-Suwayda Governorate, all roads are passable except for the roads leading to Al-Mashnaf district and the Shahba-Namirah-Um-Dhabib-Ghaidha-Namirah road, which is impassable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow.
The Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior advised drivers to exercise caution during the prevailing weather conditions, especially during the formation of snow or the occurrence of frost, fog and precipitation, and the need to ensure the technical readiness of the vehicle, including the effectiveness of brakes, windshield wipers, fog eliminators, front and rear lights, vehicle battery and tire safety.
The Traffic Department stressed the need to abide by the signs that specify speed and reduce speed, especially on curves and slopes, and to maintain a real safety distance with other vehicles, and to call the numbers 5422703 and 5411365 to inquire about the condition of the roads.
