District – Wind energy in the Hofoldinger Forst is becoming more and more likely: The district of Miesbach has now decided to join the operating company as a limited partner.
When dealing with, as District Administrator Olaf von Löwis said, formalities on the way to using wind energy in the Hofoldinger Forest, the members of the environmental committee recently confirmed that they support the project and that the district of Miesbach should participate in it.
In order to join the future operating company as a limited partner, the district would first have to dissolve the site security agreement as a member of the consortium wind energy Hofoldinger Forst and the Bavarian state forests and sell its rights to the future operating company.
District of Munich not included
The districts of Munich and Miesbach became members of the Arge Windenergie Hofoldinger Forst in 2016 and are thus supporting the project.
After the municipality of Brunnthal has withdrawn, one more wind turbine is planned in Aying, Sauerlach and Otterfing.
As Otterfing's Mayor Michael Falkenhahn recently announced in the municipal council, there are plans to set up an operating company - probably as a GmbH - only by the three municipalities and without the districts.
At the meeting of the environmental committee, von Löwis reported that the district of Munich had already dismissed numerous other projects.
Eco-friendly energy needed
Maria Dißl (CSU) confirmed this and, as Otterfingen municipal councillor, praised Miesbach's commitment in return.
One would like to maintain that and therefore at least join the operating company as a limited partner.
"Not only because we get credit for the environmentally friendly energy, we should definitely stay on the ball," campaigned von Löwis.
In order to be able to set up the operating company, however, the district must first sell its rights to the future operating company.
Look for other locations
Robert Wiechmann (Greens) saw the skins swimming away: "Before I sell the rights, I would prefer to negotiate the future type of participation first." The danger that the district would fall behind was in Löwis' view, however not present: "There is the best of understanding."
