The government announced this afternoon (13th) that multiple areas in the Kowloon City District, Eastern District, North District, Kwun Tong District and Sha Tin District have tested positive for sewage, with a relatively high amount of virus, and it is suspected that there are hidden patients.
The areas involved include 13 buildings including No. 1 Kai Tak in Kowloon City and Shun Tin Village in Kwun Tong.
The District Office of the District will distribute rapid test kits to about 90,000 residents, cleaning staff and property management staff for self-testing starting tomorrow (14th).

The government reminds the public to heed and follow the manufacturer's instructions when using the rapid antigen test kits, and take pictures for records immediately after reading the results.
Hands must be clean before and after the test, and non-essential supplies should be kept to a minimum in the sample collection area.
Also dispose of properly after testing.
If the household environment is contaminated during sample collection, it should be disinfected with 1:49 diluted household bleach or 70% alcohol.
Persons who have obtained positive results for the first time with the rapid antigen test can declare through the online platform of the "2019 Coronavirus Rapid Antigen Test Positive Results Person Declaration System".
If members of the public have difficulty using the online platform, they can call the automated system at 1836 119 to register their identification documents and telephone numbers. The CHP will contact the relevant persons later to complete the declaration process.
