One of the practitioners of the town had to suddenly stop his activity after being taken into custody last Wednesday.
The man is suspected of having taken advantage of his position to harass two of his patients.
He is the subject of a criminal investigation for sexual assault.
His office had been searched on Tuesday.
The investigation was entrusted to the gendarmerie and, at this stage, it is advisable to be cautious.
"A lot of things remain to be clarified," says someone close to the case.
The victims are between 20 and 40 years old.
The first appeared in September 2021, explaining that she was the subject of repeated sexual advances from her doctor during her consultations.
On March 5, a second woman went to the Ecquevilly gendarmerie brigade.
She accuses her doctor of having tried to kiss her and fondle her buttocks during a medical examination, in addition to verbal advances.
A cabinet that closes in a tense area
A third person was heard in connection with this case.
It would be a woman who had been targeted by a complaint for extortion, filed by the general practitioner several months ago.
But this procedure had been filed without follow-up.
The doctor, who remains unreachable, was released and placed under judicial control.
He is presumed innocent and the statements of the complainants must be the subject of further investigations.
On his “Google” page, he collects many positive opinions from patients.
Beyond its legal aspect, this case risks penalizing hundreds of people.
The Seine valley is an area of medical tension and treating doctors are difficult to find.
It is estimated that a general practitioner manages a patient base of 1,000 to 1,500 people depending on the sectors in which he practices.
