The snow storm that hit the Turkish city of Istanbul for the fourth consecutive day, which is the first of its kind during the month of March in 35 years, continued, obstructing traffic and canceling many flights.
The Anadolu Agency, speaking on behalf of the Turkish regime, stated that the intensity of snow that began falling on the city since the ninth of this March has increased, and the continuous snowfall in some areas of the city on the Asian and European banks negatively affected life and obstructed traffic.
The internal transport company in Istanbul canceled many of its flights due to the heavy snow and ice formation, while other routes were changed, and Turkish Airlines canceled 192 additional flights to and from Istanbul and Sabiha Gokcen airports due to the weather conditions.
According to Turkish meteorology, this snow storm is the first of its kind in Istanbul during March in 35 years.
