The workshops and mechanisms of the Technical Services Directorate in Homs governorate continue to remove the accumulated snow on the Shain Dahr al-Qusayr road and the surrounding villages in the western countryside of the governorate.
The director of technical services in Homs, Amin Al-Issa, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the technical workshops are working to ensure the opening of the road to the administrative borders of Tartous governorate and the rest of the secondary roads towards the villages adjacent to Dahr Al-Qusayr. 40 cm, stressing that these villages are served by other methods that can be used to supply them with bread, diesel or any emergency.
In turn, Engineer Essam Hazeem from the Roads Department in the Directorate indicated that the work of opening the Shain Dahr Al-Qusair public road began yesterday morning, as the snow accumulations were removed until the middle of the road, but the accumulation of snow and ice renewed at night and the workshops were forced to re-work from the beginning of the road, indicating that the Shane Dahr axis Al-Qusayr serves several villages from Ain Al-Fawar all the way to Berchin, and all closed secondary roads will be opened successively after the completion of the main road.
The director of Shin district, Major Maimon Youssef, said that the police units are supporting the technical services workshops in order to open the road, and there is a state of alert around the clock and patrols are spread on the public road, stressing the need to be careful by drivers while driving and to inquire about the condition of the roads by calling 108.
