An investigating judge in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine) requested the referral to a criminal court of Dieudonné for defamation, after the broadcast of a video in which he accuses Manuel Valls of sexual assault, according to his order consulted Monday March 14 by AFP.
The order, dated Friday, does not indicate the date of the trial of the controversial comedian, now 56 years old.

The video in question was broadcast on October 22, 2020 on Dieudonné Mbala Mbala's website and public Telegram account, according to the order, which specifies that a rogatory commission made it possible to confirm that he was "

In this video, now unavailable online, Dieudonné said he was "
aware
" of a complaint filed by a "
young girl
" against Manuel Valls, presented as an "
aggressor of good women
".

For his part, Me Jacques Verdier, Dieudonné's lawyer, did not wish to comment.
Dieudonné has been convicted in France on numerous occasions for racial slurs or incitement to hatred.
