Miesbacher with over two per thousand at the wheel: Golf lands on the roof

A 24-year-old from Miesbach caused an accident while intoxicated on Monday night.
His Golf landed on the roof.
The driver was not injured.
Miesbach – After a football game with a happy ending, a 24-year-old from Miesbach would have been better off driving home as a passenger.
With almost two per thousand, he still got behind the wheel of his Golf.
The car soon landed on its roof.
Accident with more than two per thousand
According to a spokeswoman for the Miesbach Police Inspectorate, the accident happened on the night of Sunday, March 13th, to Monday, March 14th.
According to the report, the 24-year-old driver of the VW Golf had an accident “solely involved” on the B472 near Müller am Baum.
"When the emergency services arrived at the scene of the accident, the Golf was lying on its roof," reports the police spokeswoman.
On site, the officers had noticed a strong smell of alcohol in the young driver.
That's why they carried out a breath alcohol test on the 24-year-old, who was "on his way home from a football game".
According to the police report, the test showed a value of almost two per thousand.
Driver unharmed - property damage 20,000 euros
The police call the cause of the accident both excessive speed - the limit here is 60 km/h - and the enormous influence of alcohol.
The driver was not injured in the accident.
The Golf was totaled.
According to the police, a tree and a traffic sign were also damaged in the accident.
The officials estimate the total damage at around 20,000 euros.
At Müller am Baum there are always serious traffic accidents.
A motorcyclist was seriously injured there last year.
