Abstract.
Jean-Philippe Riopy has been playing the piano for as long as he has been walking.
It was in the mid-1980s, at the age of 2, that he began to press the keys of the keyboard to associate notes.
Perfectly self-taught, he began to compose melodies over time.
The only way to forget for a few moments the daily life of an unhappy childhood, within a religious sect.
In the small community of Deux-Sèvres where he grew up cut off from the world, punishments were numerous and leisure activities prohibited.
At his majority, Riopy leaves definitively.
A true virtuoso, he ended up getting noticed after years of hardship.
His music is very popular during meditation and relaxation sessions.
In January, his album "Tree of Light" topped the charts for classical music in the United States.
Riopy takes the time to tell his story in Code source, at the microphone of Ambre Rosala.
