After the devastating Russian attack on a military training area in western Ukraine, there were initially fewer reports of fighting and attacks.

The developments at a glance.

According to Ukrainian sources, the Russian military in Ukraine is preparing offensives on several cities.

On the 19th day of the Russian invasion, further negotiations were also planned in an online format.

Instagram has been blocked in Russia since Monday.

The federal government is planning a relief package because of the high energy prices.

Kyiv awaits offensives by Russian troops

According to the Ukrainian General Staff, Russian troops are preparing several offensives in the country.

To do this, the units tried to establish themselves at points they had previously occupied, to secure supplies and to regroup, according to a report published on Monday night on Facebook.

As soon as this has happened, new attacks are expected, for example on the cities of Kharkiv in the east, Sumy in the northeast or the Kiev suburb of Brovari.

In the Luhansk region in the east of the country, Russia is concentrating primarily on advancing towards Sejerodonetsk.

Moscow announced on Sunday that pro-Russian separatist fighters had blocked the eastern and southern parts of the city, which has a population of 100,000.

The information could not be independently verified.

Zelenskyj calls for no-fly zone again

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy again called on the West to close airspace over Ukraine.

"If you don't do that, it's only a matter of time before Russian missiles fall on your areas," he said in a video address.

NATO opposes a no-fly zone to avoid being drawn into a direct conflict with Russia.

Ukraine is going through the toughest test in its history, Zelensky said.

Russian missiles and bombs hit the country from west to east on Sunday.

35 people were killed and 134 injured in an attack on a military training area on the border with Poland.

Selenskyj tried to encourage the citizens.

"We will survive all dark days because we stick together."

Minister of Health: Seven hospitals destroyed

According to information from Kyiv, seven hospitals in Ukraine have been irreparably destroyed since the beginning of the Russian war of aggression.

The clinics would have to be completely rebuilt after Russian shelling, said Health Minister Viktor Ljaschko.

More than 100 other health facilities were damaged.

A few days ago, a Russian attack on a maternity clinic in the port city of Mariupol caused particular horror.

Moscow claimed the building was used by Ukrainian fighters.

However, both the Ukrainian and the UN said that it was a functioning maternity clinic.

Chernobyl: power supply works again

According to Ukrainian sources, the former Chernobyl nuclear power plant is fully connected to the power supply again.

"Today our nuclear scientists and electricians (...) managed to restore the power supply to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant seized by the Russian occupiers," announced the Ukrainian operator Enerhoatom.

As a result, the cooling systems of the spent fuel storage facility were now running normally again and no longer only on an emergency power supply.

The Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which was occupied by Russian units, was cut off from the power supply last Wednesday.

US media: Russia has asked China for military aid

According to media reports, according to US government officials, Russia asked China for military and economic aid after the start of the war in Ukraine.

The government officials, who were not named, did not provide any information on what weapons or ammunition Moscow was hoping to get from Beijing.

It also remained unclear how or whether China reacted to the inquiries, as reported on Sunday by the Washington Post, the New York Times and the Financial Times, among others.

Russia has also asked for economic support to limit the impact of the sanctions, it said.

Communist China has so far tried to maintain a more neutral stance.

That will be important on Monday

Negotiators of Ukraine and Russia want to talk to each other in an online format.

Most recently, representatives of the delegations had been cautiously optimistic about the negotiations.

Zelenskyj sees organizing a meeting of the heads of state of the countries as an important task in the talks.
