Today, the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, set a date for a voting session to elect a president for the country on the 26th of this month.
Alsumaria News quoted Al-Halbousi as saying in a statement: "It was decided to set Saturday, corresponding to the twenty-sixth of this March, as the date for the parliament session to elect a president."
Last February, the Iraqi parliament postponed the date of a voting session to elect a president for Iraq, during which the quorum was not completed.
