The corona virus situation in Austria continues to pick up speed.
The incidence is particularly high in the five to 14-year-old age group.
Vienna/Munich – The 7-day incidence in Austria continues to rise, and the number of new infections is also skyrocketing.
On Wednesday (March 9), a record high since the beginning of the pandemic was recorded.
Shortly before, on March 5th, almost all corona rules had been lifted.
The situation in Germany's neighboring country seems to be getting worse again.
A look at Austria's schools also causes concern.

Austria: Corona virus situation creates a state of emergency in schools - "contamination"
The increase in new infections and incidences is again affecting schools in Austria.
According to oe24.at
, Thomas Bulanz, representative of elementary school teachers, said
: “The infection in schools is progressing steadily.
The quality of teaching is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain.” It is also not always possible to compensate for absent teachers.
The corona burden has “reached a new peak in schools”.
A look at the 7-day incidences of the affected age groups also supports this view.
As early as March 5, the incidence in the five to 14-year-old age group was over 4,000.
As of March 12, it reached a reading of 5,077.9.
In the age group of 15-24 year olds, a proportion of whom still attend school, the value on March 12 was 5,198.8 (previous week: 3,108.8).
