The Nancy prosecutor's office requested on Tuesday March 15 between two and 18 months in prison suspended for nine night BAC police officers tried since last week for moral harassment and racist insults towards four of their former colleagues.

Public prosecutor François Pérain also requested bans on practicing police against four defendants: one final, one for five years and two for two years.
For five of them, he demanded fines of up to 9,000 euros for racist insults.
In his submissions, François Pérain referred to "
collective harassment
" on the part of the defendants, describing their behavior as "
a machine to exclude which crushes a woman and three men
".
"
The image of the police must no longer suffer from the odious actions of neo-fascist rebels who smear the Republic and its true servants
", declared Me Frédéric Berna, lawyer for the victims, welcoming requisitions that were certainly "
moderate
" but which "
mark the desire to no longer accept
” these actions in the police.
The defense lawyers pleaded for the release of their clients, denying the harassment but speaking of “
relational difficulties
” between police officers.
Me Chloé Blandin, who defends eight of the police officers, also denounced a file "
without objective elements
": "
it's too easy to put things forward and not prove anything
".
For her, in this affair, "
we wanted to cut off heads
" and "
dismantle
" the BAC night service: the investigation carried out by the IGPN, the "
police of police
", had been made "
for this purpose
", according to her.
On racial slurs, she pointed out that her clients had admitted "
their stupidity
in court and that they were "
not proud
" to be on the dock.
Judgment was reserved for May 13.
