She has been missing since Sunday: The search for a 35-year-old from Trostberg ended tragically on Tuesday.
Any help came too late for the woman.
Trostberg/Ruhpolding – After a two-day search, there is now certainty: the 35-year-old who has been missing since Sunday is dead. The emergency services found the woman from the Traunstein district in a steep gully of the Rauschberg near Ruhpolding.

What exactly happened has not yet been fully clarified, but the police assume it was a tragic accident.

The 35-year-old woman from Trostberg has been missing since last Sunday.
After her car was found abandoned in the Ruhpolding area, the mountain rescue service and the police concentrated their search mainly on the Rauschberg area.
According to the police, the search had to be stopped at 2 a.m. Monday night without result.
On Tuesday at 7.30 a.m. the helpers set off again.
The woman was then found lying in a steep gully by a police helicopter deployed.
"The emergency services had to abseil to her, but could no longer help the woman," the police said.
The officials assume that the 35-year-old probably slipped on the hiking trail, which was partly covered with snow.
She then fell about 100 meters down a steep gully, sustaining fatal injuries.
