Ramzan Kadyrov, head of the Chechen republic, is considered a hardliner loyal to Putin.

Now he is apparently in Ukraine - and is threatening.

Kyiv - Chechnya's leader Ramzan Kadyrov says he has traveled to Ukraine.

He threatens Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his comrades-in-arms in a video and claims that "quite a few" employees of the Ukrainian secret service worked for Russia.

The information provided by the Chechen ruler could not be independently verified.

Ukraine war: Chechen president spreads Putin propaganda on Telegram

Kadyrov said he was in Hostomel, a town northwest of the capital Kyiv near an airfield that has been contested in Ukraine since the beginning of the war.

In his video, Kadyrov reproduces the Russian propaganda that Vladimir Putin wants to use to justify the war;

he called the Ukrainian leaders "Nazis": "Recently we were about 20 kilometers away from you, Kiev Nazis, and now we are even closer."

Perhaps he is already in Kyiv and is just awaiting instructions, the Chechen President further claimed.

The ruler of the North Caucasus republic wanted to intimidate the Ukrainian government and people with his message: "You can relax for a minute, because you don't have to look for us - we will find you ourselves".

Most recently, he called on the Kiev leadership to switch sides: "Oh, you don't have much longer.

Better you surrender and stand beside us, as I have suggested several times, or your end is at hand.”

Ramzan Kadyrov: "Putin's Bloodhound"

Chechnya's head of government, who reports to Putin, has been supporting Russia since the beginning of the war.

He is also known as "Putin's bloodhound".

Kadyrov helped the Russian President win the war in Chechnya in 2004.

Recently there have also been reports of Chechen special units in Ukraine - with orders to kill politicians and high-ranking military personnel.

Whether this is the case is unclear.

It could also be Russian propaganda.

However, Volodymyr Zelenskyy himself reported that such murder lists existed.
