Sentenced for a kidnapping in the Oise against the backdrop of drug trafficking: "We're going to cut off your ears"

The Senlis court handed down sentences of up to 18 months in prison for the kidnapping of a 23-year-old man on 12 December 2

This Monday, five men, aged 35 to 45, were sentenced by the Senlis court to sentences ranging from 24 months in prison, including 12 suspended, to 4 years, including 30 months suspended, for "kidnapping". , "sequestration" - or complicity - and for "criminal association".

They were accused of having kidnapped a 23-year-old man on the background of a drug debt.

Given the age of the case and the pre-trial detention carried out, none of them was imprisoned at the end of the hearing.

The facts occurred on December 12, 2017 in Villers-Saint-Paul.

The victim goes to the McDonalds in the city, where he was given an appointment to clear up a case: that of a theft of 250 kg of cannabis which he was responsible for transporting between Rouen and Brest, and which he is accused of having "cored" at the expense of a Breton trafficker.

According to the investigation, it was the latter who ordered the operation from his prison cell so that the young man "spit it out".

At the exit of the fast-food, the victim takes place in the car coming from Seine-Saint-Denis.

He runs without knowing that he is going to be taken to Paris.

According to him, he was threatened by several individuals, some with a handgun, in the vehicle and in an apartment in the Paris region.

"We're going to cut off pieces of your ears and send them to your family," said one of his attackers.

Also a photo of the victim, hands tied, will be discovered in a phone.

The victim judged from this Tuesday for robberies

The next day, the police will find him in a restaurant in Clichy (Hauts-de-Seine) where he managed to warn the police from the toilet.

On the spot, they will arrest a man from Brest considered to be a "lieutenant" of the imprisoned sponsor.

In the following weeks, the other four will also be placed in police custody and indicted, confused in particular by the demarcation of telephones.

At the hearing, everyone minimized their role in this affair.

The three defendants from Seine-Saint-Denis say they went to Oise for "a car story" and left with the victim without explaining why.

Same thing for the man from Brest.

“He found himself in something that overtook him,” pleaded his lawyer, Me Justine Devred, recalling that his client has never been convicted.

Only the sponsor admitted having organized this trip, saying he was under pressure from a supplier in Morocco.

And to specify that he "did not want violence", even if the prosecutor Jean-Baptiste Bladier quotes an exchange where he speaks of "terrorizing" the young man.

On the defense side, we struggled to cast shame on the victim.

Currently imprisoned, he must appear before the Assize Court of Oise from this Tuesday for several armed robberies, including the robbery of the Intermarché de Moyvillers.

The lawyers also recalled that he had knowingly gotten into the car in Villers-Saint-Paul and that he had been prescribed “only” one day of ITT after his abduction.

A strategy of discrediting which was probably reinforced by the fact that the victim refused to appear at the hearing.
