The health authorities in South Korea recorded a record number of deaths from the Corona virus, which reached 293 cases during the past 24 hours.
And the South Korean Yonhap News Agency quoted a health official as saying that Seoul is facing a record rise in the number of HIV infections as a result of the outbreak of the highly contagious Omicron mutant, explaining that the number of virus patients with serious or critical cases reached a new high, reaching 1196 cases.
The average number of daily infections with Corona virus during the past seven days in South Korea was about 337,000 cases, including 362,283 cases today, which represents an increase of more than 80 times from the levels recorded in mid-January when Omicron emerged as the dominant strain in South Korea.
