Strange corona vaccination record in Munich: more four vaccinations than first vaccinations

The vaccination campaign in Munich has come to a standstill - the city's latest figures show how much.

According to this, hardly any unvaccinated people can be convinced by the prick - even the number of four vaccinations in the past week was higher than that of the first vaccinations.

Munich – The city leaves no stone unturned to convince people to vaccinate against the corona virus – but the number of people willing to be vaccinated is apparently decreasing.

Only 422 initial vaccinations were registered in the past week at the Riem vaccination center, in its vaccination branches (Marienplatz, Theresienwiese, Pasing Arcaden) and in the children and youth vaccination center in Gasteig, as well as in the mobile special vaccination campaigns.

The number remained well below the 1000 mark - as it has been for a few weeks. For comparison: at the beginning of February the values ​​were twice as high. 

Corona in Munich: More four vaccinations than first vaccinations

Curious: In the meantime, even the number of four vaccinations has overtaken the number of first vaccinations - the fourth vaccination has not yet been released for everyone*.

Also low: The number of second vaccinations, which is of course directly related to the number of first vaccinations in the past few weeks: it is only 486. The third vaccination, the classic booster, is currently still the most frequently requested - here the city reports 1845 vaccinations in the previous week.

Number of vaccinations in Munich continues to decline

In total, the city registered 3512 vaccinations in the past week.

For the mobile vaccination campaigns, the city is now mainly relying on the vaccination tram*, which will again be stationed at different locations in Munich in the coming week, for example on Thursday in the Effnerplatz turning loop.

There are also vaccination guides next week

on the way - specially trained medical students who provide information about vaccinations at selected locations.

On the other hand, the city will close the two vaccination centers in Riem and on the Theresienwiese in April.*
