Marina Obsyanikova, a TV employee who demonstrated during Russia's mainstream news program, spoke today (Tuesday) for the first time since the incident, saying she was questioned following him for more than 14 hours.

"I was not allowed to contact my relatives and friends, they did not give me legal aid," she said.

According to RIA news agency, Obsyanikova was fined 30,000 rubles after being found guilty of demonstrating against the regime and condemning the Russian army fighting in Ukraine.

It has not yet been clarified whether she will face further and more serious charges.

"I want to thank everyone for the support, friends and colleagues," she said at the beginning of her remarks, after being released from the investigation.

"These are very difficult days in my life. I have been without sleep for two days, the interrogation lasted more than 14 hours."

She added that she was waiting to hear the decisions that would be made about her, and said that in the meantime she "just needs to relax".

Earlier today, the Kremlin addressed the unusual incident during yesterday's news broadcast.

"As far as this woman is concerned, it's hooliganism," said spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

He praised the work of the state television channel, saying it was the backbone of "objective news."

Marina Obsyanikova, Russia's state television worker, interrupted last night's main newscast on the channel, holding a sign urging viewers not to believe the Kremlin's propaganda while she stood behind the presenter in the edition.

After the incident she was arrested and taken to the Moscow police station.

Before the interruption in the broadcast, Obsianikova uploaded a video to the Internet, in which she called for an end to the fighting.

"What is happening in Ukraine now is a crime, and Russia is an aggressive country, and the responsibility for that aggression lies with the conscience of only one person, Vladimir Putin," she said.
