Four people died in an accident in the Bavarian mountains over the weekend.
The police are now trying to clarify how the crash could have happened.
In one case, an app was probably to blame.
Flintsbach/Benediktbeuern – The day after the tragic mountain accident on Hohen Asten near Flintsbach (Rosenheim district), the police are investigating how the fatal crash could have happened.
A group of four went there on Sunday.
Two men and a woman fell while descending the Maiwand - in front of their companion (we reported).

The first investigations by the Alpine Task Force of the Police Headquarters Oberbayern Süd have shown that the hikers were adequately equipped for the tour.
The group had probably relied on an app, reports a police spokesman.
The app had diverted them from their original route.
The four of them left the path at a blind spot and slid down an extremely steep and grassy gully.
Three of them fell down a 30 meter high rock face.
There is no evidence of third-party negligence.
Flintsbach Mayor Stefan Lederwascher (CSU) spoke of a tragic accident.
It's a dangerous spot, he says.
Even for experienced alpinists.
This is also confirmed by Christoph Schnurr, the managing director of the Rosenheim section of the German Alpine Association.
There is still snow on the north side.
Accidents happen again and again on the steep rock face, reports Mayor Lederwascher.

Wolfratshausen/Benediktenwand: 28-year-old dies in an accident
A 28-year-old was also killed on Sunday on the Benediktenwand in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district.
It is a high alpine tour, says Markus Schamberg from the Benediktbeuern mountain rescue service.
