Baruch Adler, a seventh-grade student in the middle school of Amit Yeshiva in a whole heart in Yeruham, broke the national record of remembering the literature after the decimal point in the number of pies.
Welcome Oral Male 2,022 digits.
Every year on Pie Day, which is 3.14, that is, on March 14, an oral literature remembrance competition is held after the decimal point, with the goal of remembering as many digits as possible.
Pi - π, is a Greek letter that represents an irrational number that indicates the ratio between the circumference of a circle and its diameter - approximately 3.14.
Therefore the date 14.3 was chosen to be the day on which the number is indicated.
(This is also Albert Einstein's birthday, and was even determined in Israel today as science).
Baruch Adler, the son of the yeshiva's math coordinator, has set himself the goal of studying 2022 digits as the numerator of the years on the foreign date.
Israel's previously known record was 1207 digits.
Today we were informed that student Mika Halevi, an eighth-grade student at Yad Urban School in Tel Aviv, broke the record with 1,250 digits.
Baruch's achievement, 2022 digits, places him in first place in the country.
Documentation of the recollection of the literature was done according to the protocol, with two witnesses, and a videotaped video.
The results will be sent to the world ranking center.
In response to the achievement, Baruch Adler said: "It was fun to set a higher goal each time, and meet it. I started with 750, then 1,000 and today 2,022. It was impressive that the members came, gave up a break, and kept quiet for half an hour. It's rare."
Rabbi David Cohen, director of the middle school at Yeshivat Amit with a whole heart: "More than Baruch's amazing achievement, his humility, perseverance and desire to reach high places, set a goal and meet it. These are the values that characterize Yeshivat Amit with a whole heart."
