For years they lived in a house that did not suit them, so when the opportunity came to build something new on their own they went all out and recruited their architect friend.

The result is a home in powerful and quiet architecture that can knock you off your feet

Projects with high budgets are usually divided into two prominent schools. One, impressive in the offensive. "This house no doubt belongs recently. It leaves a strong impression on anyone who looks at it from the inside or outside, but does so with its quiet intensity, without noise and ringing." The couple approached me to build the house of their dreams.

Between the architect Niv and the landlords there is a previous acquaintance and a friendly relationship, but despite the fear of the close friendship between them, they decided to "go for it" and concluded that if the project endangered the companies do 'turn back'.

In practice this of course did not happen and the result - a powerful architecture, which should not "shout" its power, but quietly allows for an experience of residence that corresponds with the outside.

The family that lives here consists of 4 people, a couple of parents and their two adolescent children.

They lived for many years in a house that did not suit them.

And rolled from year to year with the feeling that: "Here, Otto are moving to the real house ..." Then came the opportunity to purchase a plot of land near their place of residence and together with the architect Itzik Niv they decided to go for this opportunity.

As in every project here too, the architect Itzik Niv asked the couple to create a MOOD BOARD, in order to understand their connection to materials, colors and combinations.

“Once I got their MOOD BOARD I realized how much there was a match between us, and not just as friends,” Niv says.

"It's a match that is expressed in a love of concrete, a love of clean, unpretentious design and free of trends or trends. A clean and functional home."

On the 1.2-dunam plot, Niv designed a 450-square-meter house, built over one level and another lower level where there is a gym and a storage room.

As mentioned, the prominent materials of the house are exposed concrete, white plaster, wood and aluminum.

The doors, windows and display cases in the house reach from floor to ceiling.

The flooring of the house is made of resin, it is an opaque, luxurious and delicate flooring that provides a smooth and uniform look.

The entrance to the house is through a black steel entrance gate, which leads straight into a colorful garden.

The huge front door rises to a height of 5 meters and is covered with Lebanese cedar wood with slats in random divisions.

To the left of the entrance through a key, the home library pops up.

At the entrance to the house, the public space is revealed in front of us, and behind it is a display case through which you can see the back garden of the house.

Upon entering the house we are met by a design element with a staircase wrapped in a transparent glass railing that defines the entrance.

To the right of the entrance is the family corner with a display case overlooking the lower courtyard.

Between the family corner and the kitchen is a large black cabinet made of CUSTOM MADE carpentry, whose function is to separate the spaces as well as provide storage space for the benefit of the kitchen's electrical products, wine refrigerator and more.

The entire public space is connected to the outside with the help of large, transparent showcases.

Proximity to the yard and the big key are planning choices that reflect the desire to feel the outside in every corner even inside the house.

The exterior kitchen is attached to the exterior pergola and gives the impression that it continues the interior kitchen.

In the center of the kitchen is a large island made of porcelain granite

, 4 square meters long that is also designed for sitting around it. Above the island is an element with hidden light fixtures that create interest in the space.

Made of steel, and around it are arranged chairs of a similar color made of rattan that give softness to the space.

In the back wall of the living room, which borders the master rooms, is an exposed concrete wall with a skylight above it that enhances and emphasizes the space in daylight.

The living room also has a gas fireplace that gives a warm atmosphere.

And one of the ribs is actually a glass showcase wall facing the pool in the yard and the outdoor dining area.

The master suite consists of a bathroom and a walk-in closet.

The bathroom is located at the entrance to the room, then the closet and at the end the bedroom which is connected to the pool with a huge showcase that separates them and blurs the outside and inside.

This design of the master suite actually also connects the private sleeping space to the outside.

Each of the teen suites (there are two of these) has an exit to a private deck and of course a bedroom with an en suite bathroom.

The lower level features a fully equipped gym, a guest suite with a bathroom centered on a standing fruit bath and a work area.

The architecture is expressed so that the public space and the master suite correspond wisely and intelligently with the outside and both face the pool in the courtyard.

The outdoor space is prepared for outdoor hospitality and includes: an outdoor kitchen, a powerful pergola that is also made of cedar Lebanon wood, thinly elevated with sun beds and an oversized pool.
