The police explained the case today that they received a report earlier that a doctor charged a fee and issued a "Medical Exemption Certificate for New Crown Vaccination" to a patient without consulting the patient and reviewing the medical record.
Officers of the Criminal Department contacted a doctor surnamed Chen through a messenger. The detective told the doctor that he had no health problems and just wanted an exemption certificate to avoid vaccinations.
The doctor then agreed to issue a certificate of exemption and instructed him to collect it at a clinic in Kwun Tong.
The police then dispatched agents disguised as patients to the clinic, which had no doctors and only a female nurse.
After the agent made the payment, the female nurse immediately issued a waiver certificate with the doctor's name and the doctor's signature. During the process, the agent did not meet the doctor or check the medical records.
Detectives took immediate action after obtaining the evidence, arrested a 28-year-old female nurse at the clinic, and executed a court search warrant. In the clinic, they found 30 certificates of exemption of the same type, two seals with the doctor's name and the doctor's signature, payment records, Computer and mobile phone.
Detectives later arrested a 69-year-old woman in charge of the clinic in Tuen Mun.
