The GSS and police arrested four people on suspicion of aiding and abetting Hamas and uncovered activities planned to ignite clashes in Jerusalem during the month of Ramadan, the publication was allowed today (Friday). Three of the suspects, residents of Tzur Baher in East Jerusalem, were arrested in early February upon landing in Israel on suspicion of offenses related to a terrorist organization.

The suspects, Sabah and his two sons, Munib and Musab Sabah, were taken in for questioning, which revealed that they used the "Janat Zakka Alkods" organization, which has offices on the Temple Mount, to transfer money and support terrorist families - while covering the orphanage.



The investigation revealed that in his meetings with senior Hamas figures, Sabah aimed to promote activities that would involve recruiting new activists to the organization, raising funds and other activities - including programming extensive conflicts during the month of Ramadan with the various security forces.

The fourth suspect, a 43-year-old resident of Beit Hanina, was arrested following an investigative activity with the tax authorities, in his possession a large amount of property that includes cash in the amount of NIS half a million, vehicles and assets



. It was extended in court from time to time while investigating the affair, which was conducted under a restraining order.

"The Israel Police and the Security Service will continue to cooperate with other elements in thwarting Hamas' recruitment and intensification efforts within Jerusalem, while locating and addressing all those who express a willingness to assist in these efforts - in order to increase the security of the country's residents and prevent harm to its citizens."
